RODZICIELSTWO / PARENTHOOD
mokulito
2021-2022
Mokulito, or lithography on wood, was combined here with classical woodcut. Both techniques made it possible to bring out the unique character of the wood. The inspiration comes from experiencing parenthood, entering the role of a mother, and the formation of new correlations in the family related to the birth of a child. It is the title correlations (Latin: correlation-, correlatio, from com-, "together, jointly"; and relation-, relatio, "union, relation" - interdependence, mutual relationship) that are the starting point for the search for a new graphic language - images abstract and expressive in their form. Some of the works are equivalent to white, convex graphic signs - inscriptions made in woodcut technique using Braille letters.
